Measuring just 1.7" thick and weighing only 1 lb, the amaran Ray 60c RGB LED Monolight is a 60W, full-color, IP54-rated fixture engineered for creators who need a compact, mobile lighting solution. Powered by the OmniColor light engine, it offers higher output than the previous amaran COB 60x S, plus flexible power options and streamlined local/app control via the FlowTurn knob and NFC setup. Choose an extended CCT range of 1800–20,000K in CCT+ mode with excellent color accuracy, or switch to HSI and RGB modes for full 360° color control. Despite its small form factor, the Ray 60c retains a full-size Bowens mount, supports Ace E-Lock accessories, and includes USB-C PD compatibility. It’s easy to pack, rig, and carry, and ships with essential accessories so it’s ready for travel, whether you’re shooting outdoors or building a compact studio kit.
Powerful Output in an Ultra-Compact Body
As a bare light source, the Ray 60c delivers up to 3910 lux at 3.3' and 4300K. For additional intensity and beam shaping, you can pair it with the optional Mini Reflector or Mini Fresnel. The fixture outputs up to 4021 lumens and offers green-magenta adjustment, with high color performance ratings of CRI 95, TLCI 95, SSI 80/87, and TM-30 94/100. These metrics translate into cleaner whites, accurate skin tones, and colors that remain consistent both on camera and to the naked eye.
360º Full-Color Flexibility
amaran’s OmniColor engine provides a refined color spectrum with boosted red and blue channels for a more complete, balanced output. The Ray 60c supports an adjustable color temperature of 2300–10,000K, which can be pushed further to 1800–20,000K in CCT+ mode. You also get smooth 0–100% stepless dimming for precise exposure control. For creative looks, the fixture offers full 360° color control via HSI and RGB modes, and an FX mode with 12 built-in lighting effects: fireworks, faulty bulb, lightning, TV, pulsing, strobe, explosion, fire, paparazzi, welding, cop car, and party.
Adaptive, Creator-Friendly Control
The Ray 60c includes a Quick Operation mode for rapid parameter changes, along with assignable shortcuts using long-press and double-click actions. Dedicated High-Speed Photography and Studio modes make it easy to adapt the light to different shooting environments. An intuitive menu system and TFT display streamline on-board control, while the FlowTurn knob provides tactile feedback during adjustments. Built-in NFC enables one-tap pairing with the amaran app, and Bluetooth control offers a generous wireless range of up to 262.5' for remote operation.
Flexible Power Options
To simplify power in the field or studio, the Ray 60c supports the amaran Ace E-Lock system for use with optional portable batteries, USB-C PD 3.0 input, and a 12–24V DC power input. Use the included AC adapter and cable for continuous mains power, or connect compatible power banks and chargers via USB-C PD 3.0 for mobile setups. With the optional amaran Peak 75 battery, you can run the light at 100% output for up to approximately 46 minutes, or up to about 65 minutes with the optional amaran Peak battery.
Rugged IP54 Build & Quiet Cooling
With an IP54 rating, the Ray 60c is resistant to dust and splashes, making it well-suited for outdoor shoots where wind, light rain, sand, or humidity may be factors. The active cooling system operates at a low 28 dBA (at maximum output), with selectable silent and smart fan modes that keep noise levels suitable for video and audio-sensitive environments. The Ray 60c features a durable metal, full-size Bowens mount compatible with the optional Mini Reflector, Mini Fresnel, and a wide range of Bowens-style modifiers. A built-in 1/4"-20 mounting point allows attachment to a variety of grip gear and support systems. amaran includes an 11.8" one-snap Octa Dome 30 softbox for fast setup, plus an Ace Lock to Baby Pin Adapter Grip for quick mounting to stands or handheld rigs when used with optional portable batteries. A rugged silicone strap is included to help secure your power source during mobile use.
