Delivering 650W of output through an exceptionally tight 9° native beam, it produces up to 29,730 lux at 16.4’ (5600K). Like other fixtures in the NOVA lineup, the NOVA 9° 2x1 offers an expansive 1800–20,000K tunable white range, giving users precise creative control across a wide variety of lighting environments. At its core is Aputure’s BLAIR chipset, which combines blue, lime, amber, indigo, and red diodes to deliver accurate color reproduction, smooth skin tones, and an extended red response.
Impressive Output with Smooth Dimming
The fixture features stepless dimming from 0.1–100% and supports four selectable dimming curves—linear, exponential, logarithmic, and S-curve—for consistent performance across camera setups. Its familiar 2x1 form factor matches previous NOVA fixtures, while active cooling and four DMX-controllable fan modes (smart, high, medium, silent) ensure reliable operation in studio or on-location environments.
Focused Beam for Cinematic Results
With its concentrated 9° beam, the NOVA 9° 2x1 excels at maintaining intensity over distance, making it ideal for simulating sunlight through windows, creating hard-edged shadows, or achieving specular highlights. The included flat diffusion panel expands the beam to 80°, providing a balanced blend of punch and smooth luminance when softer output is needed.

Designed for color-critical work, the NOVA 9° 2x1 delivers industry-leading accuracy with CRI 95, TLCI 95, TM-30 Rf 95, and Rg 100. Advanced white point control with ± green/magenta correction ensures reliable color matching and compliance with professional broadcast and cinema standards.
Professional Control & Connectivity
Control options include onboard operation, app-based control, 16-bit DMX512, LumenRadio CRMX, and Art-Net/sACN. Firmware updates can be deployed individually or in batches via Sidus Link Pro, Sidus Link, USB drive, or DMX, making the fixture especially attractive for studios and rental houses.
Rugged, Production-Ready Design
Built to withstand demanding environments, the NOVA 9° 2x1 features a rugged IP65-rated enclosure, a removable yoke for flexible rigging, and Aputure’s QuickClip front-mount accessory system for fast light shaping. The panel can also be stacked into multi-light yoke configurations, allowing users to build larger directional arrays or light walls when needed.
