Aputure AP0700017R STORM 700x Tunable White LED Monolight
The STORM 700x Tunable White LED Monolight is Aputure’s newest compact point-source fixture, built around a tunable-white engine for high output in a smaller footprint. Drawing on the design lineage of the STORM 1200x, XT52, and 400x—and retaining Aputure’s proprietary BLAIR chipset—it delivers excellent spectral quality and highly accurate white-light reproduction. It pairs 700W of power with smooth dimming, multiple control options, a ProLock Bowens accessory mount, intelligent cooling, and an IP65-rated build—ideal for high-end sets that demand durability and precision. In the box: a 35° reflector, control box, clamp, head and power cables, and a soft rolling case.
BLAIR Light Engine
The BLAIR chipset combines blue, lime, amber, indigo, and red emitters to boost brightness and accuracy. It covers over 70% of the Rec. 2020 color gamut and is rated CRI 95 and TLCI 95. Spectral metrics include SSI 87 at both 3200K and 5600K, and TM-30 ratings of Rf 95 and Rg 100. Its five-diode architecture also widens the available CCT range compared to conventional bi-color fixtures, improving color matching across setups.
Flexible White-Point Control
CCT spans 2500–10,000K with full ±G (ASC MITC) green-magenta adjustment for precise white-point tuning and seamless integration in mixed-light environments. At 5600K, output reaches 16,730 lux at 9.8′ when paired with the included 35° reflector. Selectable modes include Max and Constant Output, plus High-Speed, Lead-Follow, and Studio modes.
Advanced Control
The included control box enables stepless dimming from 0.1–100% with four curves: Linear, Exponential, Logarithmic, and S-Curve. Wired and wireless control protocols are supported, including DMX, RDM, CRMX, and Bluetooth via Sidus Link and Sidus Link Pro. Twelve DMX profiles offer multiple dimming behaviors and configurable signal-loss actions, making it easy to drop into existing pipelines.
Rugged, Compact Design
With IP65 dust and weather resistance, the STORM 700x is built for demanding locations. An active air-cooling system offers Smart, High, Medium, and Silent modes. The ProLock Bowens mount secures modifiers with better alignment and stability. Power is AC (100–240V) via the included 19.6′ cable.
Effects & Presets
Built-in effects include Paparazzi, Fireworks, Flickering Bulb, Cannon, Lightning, TV, Pulse, Flash, Explosion, and Flame, plus 10 user-savable presets. This makes the 700x a dependable workhorse for commercials, interviews, and mid- to large-scale productions.
