With the launch of the NOVA II 1x1 and NOVA 9° 2x1, Aputure delivers two purpose-built lighting tools—one focused on rich, full-color control and the other engineered for intense, sunlight-style output.

These latest NOVA fixtures address two common challenges on set: achieving accurate, beautiful soft light and producing long-throw, directional beams that read like real sunlight. Together, they expand what LED panel lighting can accomplish in professional production environments.

The NOVA II 1x1 brings the performance of Aputure’s larger NOVA panels into a compact 1x1 form factor. It’s designed for cinematographers and lighting teams who need consistent output, refined color control, and dependable performance across long shooting days.

From soft key lighting and interview setups to bold, color-rich backgrounds, the NOVA II 1x1 delivers the flexibility required for modern film, television, and commercial productions—without slowing down the workflow.

Natural White Light That Matches the Real World

Built around the BLAIR-CG light engine, the NOVA II 1x1 offers a wide tunable white range from 1,800–20,000K with full MITC ± green adjustment. Indigo emitters activate natural fluorescence, while Extended Red emitters enhance skin tones for lifelike results.

Full-Color Control Without Compromise

Covering over 90% of the Rec.2020 color space, the NOVA II 1x1 enables deep saturation and precise color matching. Advanced control modes make it easy to match products, build clean backdrops, or dial in greenscreen and bluescreen lighting.

Bright, Even Output—Direct or Diffused

A native 35° beam maintains strong output even when diffused. Aputure’s focus-then-blend optical design ensures smooth, uniform illumination with no visible color fringing.

Whether punching through windows, working with reflectors, or shaping dramatic shafts of light across a set, the NOVA 9° 2x1 provides gaffers and DPs with a powerful, efficient alternative to traditional large fresnels.

Ultra-Tight Beam for Long-Throw Lighting

Featuring a native 9° beam angle, the NOVA 9° 2x1 outputs a narrower beam than any other panel light. This allows it to maintain intensity over long distances while producing clean, cinematic shadow edges.

Sunbeams Without the Size or Power Draw

At 5 meters, the NOVA 9° 2x1 delivers twice the brightness of a 5,000W tungsten fresnel at full spot, making it an ideal LED-based solution for productions demanding sunlight-level output.
