BirdDog has released a new firmware update for the BirdDog X4 Ultra 4K PTZ Camera with AI Tracking. Version 6.1.31 introduces powerful new features, system improvements, and critical fixes to enhance camera performance and reliability.

New Features & Improvements

  • Teleconvert Mode in Cam Control Tab (Turns Camera into 40X zoom in HD resolutions)
  • Added battery percentage indicator in webUI
  • Web-based Wi-Fi upgrades have been removed and unified with system update
  • Updated AF version to improve low-light focusing
  • Added dual discovery server support

Fixes Included in 6.1.31

  • Fixed a persistent network disconnection issue
  • "Update Wifi version" message always showing fixed
  • Wifi Module corruption during update fixed
  • If a Wi-Fi module upgrade is required, the system will automatically determine whether to update the Wi-Fi version after the system update
  • Fixed Memory leak issue
  • Network bandwidth usage showing 100% bug fixed

Known Limitations

Superfine Mode is currently only working on webUI control.
