Canon CINE-SERVO 11–55mm Compact-Servo Cine Zoom Lenses (PL & RF) — Pre-Order Now at Omega Broadcast & Cinema
New Product Announcement
Canon CINE-SERVO 11–55mm T2.95–3.95 — Ultra-Wide, Ultra-Capable (PL & RF)
Canon’s most versatile compact-servo to date: 8K-ready optics, Super 35 coverage with a built-in 1.5× extender for full-frame, 100° ultra-wide at 11mm, and a newly developed drive unit for faster focus/iris response.
What’s New
The CINE-SERVO 11–55mm T2.95–3.95 delivers 8K optical performance and a sweeping 100° angle of view at 11mm—wider than Canon’s previous CINE-SERVO zooms. It covers Super 35 natively and, with the integrated 1.5× extender, expands to full-frame with an effective range of 16.5–82.5mm at T4.4. A refined drive unit boosts focus/iris speed and adds Focus Breathing Compensation plus USB-C configuration.
Shared Optical & Mechanical Highlights
- 8K / HDR-ready optics with large-diameter aspherics & anomalous dispersion glass.
- Super 35 coverage; Full-Frame support via built-in 1.5× extender.
- T2.95 (11–40mm) to T3.95 (40–55mm); T4.4 with extender engaged.
- New compact drive with faster servo response, Focus Breathing Compensation, and USB-C for backups/prefs.
- 11-blade iris for round, natural bokeh; warm Canon cinema color for lifelike skin tones.
- MOD 0.6 m / 2 ft; lightweight build well-suited to steadicam, wirecam, jib/crane, and mobile rigs.
ARRI PL Mount — Virtual & Data-Rich
- Cooke /i Technology & ZEISS eXtended Data support.
- 12-pin serial comms for broadcast systems; three Hirose 20-pin ports on drive.
- 16-bit absolute value encoder for accurate positional metadata and virtual production calibration.
- Ideal for multi-cam studio, sports, and live events with console control.
Canon RF Mount — AF & Camera Integration
- Dual Pixel CMOS AF / AF II with expanded distance measuring & Focus Guide.
- In-camera lens info display / recording (name, position, metadata).
- Compatibility with ARIA (illumination restoration) & ALAC (aberration compensation) on supported bodies.
- Great for fast-turn doc, ENG, run-and-gun, and hybrid live/studio workflows.
Who It’s For
Designed for sports, live events, houses of worship, real estate, and studio, the 11mm ultra-wide captures expansive environments while the extender stretches to 82.5mm FF-equivalent reach—without swapping glass. Balanced weight and improved center of gravity keep compact rigs nimble.
