Key Features Added to the Chronos 4K12

TIFF Save Format

One of the standout new features is the ability to save images in the TIFF format. This provides users with enhanced flexibility and higher-quality image outputs, which is especially beneficial for those working in industries that require detailed and precise image files.

Advanced Trigger and Synchronization Modes

Shutter Gating Mode: This mode gives you full control over the sensor’s shutter via an external source, ensuring precise timing for specialized applications where accuracy is crucial.

Exposure Trigger Mode: With this mode, you can now control the start of exposure from an external source, complementing existing synchronization features and enhancing flexibility.

These advanced modes improve compatibility with legacy cameras, other Chronos 4K12 units, and external devices like illumination lamps, especially when paired with the Frame Sync Out feature introduced in version 1.6.0.

Improvements and Issue Fixes

In addition to introducing new features, this update also includes several improvements:

  • Resolved intermittent horizontal lines in saved H26x footage at 384x96 resolution.
  • Improved text input functionality, making it easier to reposition the cursor within text fields for smoother editing.
  • Corrected swapped voltage threshold configuration fields for triggers 2 and 3.
  • Retained custom IP address settings even when the Ethernet is disconnected, ensuring settings are preserved when reconnecting.
