Panasonic Announces the AJ-PX380

Panasonic is ending production of the AGHPX370 camera and replacing it with the AJ-PX380, a 1/3-inch AVC-ULTRA shoulder-mount camcorder ideal for fast-moving ENG operations with its comprehensive networking capabilities and dual-codec recording. New features include:
- AVC-ULTRA master-quality and/or low-bit-rate 10-bit, 4:2:2 recording in full raster HD.
- High resolution AVC-Proxy encoding in rates from 6 megabits down to 800 kilobits per second.
- Records in AVC-LongG to provide on-air content directly from shooting location with 3 AVC-LongG bit rates:
- AVC-LongG50/25 10bit
- 4:2:2 with bit rates approximately 50/25 Mbps
- AVC-LongG12
- Built-in network functions supporting wired LAN, wireless LAN and 4G/LTE.
- Streaming and FTP.
- Supports a P2 Remote Operation Panel application for wireless control.
- High-sensitivity, low-noise 1/3" 3-MOS imagers for low light conditions.
- Interchangeable lenses with 1/3" to 2/3" lens adapaters.
- Recording modes up to 1080/60p,50p.
- Two microP2, a P2 and SD card slots.
- HDMI out, HD/SD in/out.
- 3G-SDI out to support 1080 60p video output.
Available in September 2015, the AJ-PX380 will replace the AGHPX370 and join the latest series of Panasonic's AVC-ULTRA camcorders. See Panasonic's Press Release and product brocure.
