RED DSMC2 Firmware Update v7.2.0 is now available!

DSMC2 RELEASE BUILD v7.2.0:

The latest version of DSMC2 firmware has been posted. Significant updates include:

  • Added DSMC2 Production Module (V-LOCK) support
  • Added DSMC2 Touch 7.0" Ultra-Brite LCD support
  • Fixed starting timecode mismatch of R3D and Proxy clip
  • Fixed the blinking Power LED when using a third-party battery with the DSMC2 V-Lock I/O Expander
  • Fixed ISO inaccuracy with DSMC2 GEMINI 5K S35 and the H2O OLPF

IMPORTANT: 

You cannot downgrade a DSMC2, WEAPON, EPIC-W, SCARLET-W or RED RAVEN to earlier than v7.0.2 after upgrading to v7.2.0.

You must upgrade your REDMOTE firmware to v9.7.x. Download the firmware upgrade from red.com/downloads. Refer to the Operation Guide, available at red.com/downloads, for REDMOTE upgrade instructions.

Preset files created only on v4.0.x or later are compatible with v7.1.0b7.

It can take the camera up to 8.5 minutes to update firmware for the RED Touch 7" LCD. The LCD displays a progress screen during the update. If your camera loses power during the update, turn your camera back on. The LCD upgrade restarts. During the upgrade, the LCD is blank and the PWR/REC LEDs flash green.

Download the latest versions of REDCINE-X PRO and the RED ROCKET Installer or the RED ROCKET-X Installer from red.com/downloads.
