The Cineped Roto Slider is a 42" long slider that provides 36" of smooth, quiet camera movement for anything from a DSLR video camera to a pair of full-sized cameras that are matched for shooting stereoscopic 3D. With a load capacity of 140 lb, there's virtually no limit to the types of rig you're able to move with the Cineped slider.
Left-to-right tracking is only one of many moves you can execute with the Cineped. Front-to-back movement is also possible – combine that with lens zooms and you can achieve Hitchcock's "Vertigo effect" (on a small scale, anyway). Unlike traditional sliders, the Cineped Roto Slider rotates a full 360° at the connection to the tripod, so swing, arc, and circular camera moves are also possible. You can also execute compound moves; the combinations are limited only by your imagination.
The slider has a Mitchell base for the attachment of a heavy-duty tripod underneath, and above the track a base for a corresponding Mitchell-compatible head. The Cineped Roto Slider includes a hard case with foam that is custom-cut for the slider.
