Focusrite Scarlett Solo USB-C Audio Interface (4th Generation)
Focusrite SCARLETT-SOLO-4G Scarlett Solo USB-C Audio Interface (4th Generation)
Combining top-tier sound quality with user-friendly design, the Focusrite Scarlett Solo (4th Generation) 2-in/2-out USB-C audio interface is perfect for recording, podcasting, and streaming. Musicians and creators can easily capture professional-quality audio on the go without a steep learning curve. Featuring an ultra-low-noise microphone preamp and a Hi-Z instrument input, it allows simultaneous recording of a microphone and guitar, ideal for singer-songwriters. The upgraded 24-bit / 192 kHz AD/DA converters deliver up to 120 dB of dynamic range, ensuring studio-quality sound. A selectable Air circuit adds brightness and rich harmonics to vocals for enhanced clarity. Podcasters, gamers, YouTubers, and streamers will appreciate the Loopback feature, which lets you mix and record audio from other applications on your computer. The Scarlett Solo can also operate in standalone mode without a computer, making it useful for live performances or monitoring.
With a complete recording toolkit, including Pro Tools Artist, Ableton Live Lite, and Focusrite’s Hitmaker Expansion bundle (featuring Auto-Tune Access, Softube Marshall Silver Jubilee 2555, Native Instruments MASSIVE, and more), the Scarlett Solo 4th Generation has everything you need to kickstart your creative process.
Portable, Bus Powered, or Standalone
The Scarlett Solo’s compact, lightweight design is built for portability and durability. It is bus-powered via USB-C, making it easy to use in any environment, from your desktop to remote locations. Additionally, the Scarlett Solo 4th Generation can work in standalone mode, passing audio from inputs to outputs without needing a computer, when powered by an external USB power supply or power bank (sold separately).
Pristine, High-Resolution Conversion
The Scarlett Solo 4th Generation uses the same 24-bit / 192 kHz AD/DA converters as Focusrite's flagship RedNet interfaces, found in high-end studios worldwide. With 120 dB dynamic range, the Scarlett Solo captures every detail from vocals to instruments with clarity and precision.
Ultra-Low-Noise Mic Preamp with Air Mode
The Scarlett XLR mic preamp captures clean, transparent sound with full detail. Switchable 48V phantom power supports condenser mics, and the selectable Air mode adds high-end presence and harmonic richness, replicating the sound of a professional studio console.
Hi-Z Instrument and Line Input
The 1/4" Hi-Z input is perfect for instruments like electric guitars or basses, preserving sound quality without the need for a DI box or amp. You can also switch the input for line-level sources like a mixer or amp output.
User-Friendly for All Creators
Scarlett Solo’s Easy Start tool and independent gain knobs with Dynamic Gain Halo meters make setup and level adjustments simple. There are no complicated menus, and Focusrite Control 2 software allows easy control from your computer.
Independent Headphone and Monitor Outputs - Latency-Free Monitoring With a custom headphone amp and separate controls for speakers and headphone volumes, the Scarlett Solo ensures loud, clear, and accurate playback. Direct monitoring enables latency-free listening to your live input.
Loopback Function for Content Creators
The Loopback feature allows recording of audio from within your computer, such as browser audio, making it ideal for podcasters, gamers, YouTubers, and streamers. You can easily record video calls, game audio, and mix it with your microphone input for streaming or content creation.
