amaran has expanded its LED monolight lineup with the new COB 60d S Daylight LED Monolight, which retains the compact and lightweight design of the original COB 60d while delivering upgraded lighting quality. Featuring a redesigned LED chipset, this 65W light offers a daylight-balanced 5600K color temperature and an enhanced color accuracy with an ultra-high SSI score, ensuring vibrant, true-to-life colors. When paired with the included mini hyper reflector, it produces an impressive 37,800 lux at 3.3 feet, perfect for content creators and videographers who need a powerful, portable, and quiet lighting solution.
The 60d S can be easily controlled using its intuitive LCD screen or wirelessly via the Sidus Link app, with a range of up to 262 feet. For added flexibility, it includes a 100-240V AC power supply for global compatibility, along with options for battery operation using NP-F or D-Tap batteries (sold separately) for situations where AC power isn’t available. Equipped with a full-size Bowens mount, stand adapter, and umbrella holder, it’s compatible with a wide range of light modifiers. A carry bag is also included for easy transport.
Enhanced Color Accuracy
The S series has an improved spectral quality that provides exceptional color fidelity, achieving an ultra-high SSI (D56) of 86—a 19% improvement over the previous model. With CRI 96, TLCI 99, CQS 95, TM-30 Rf 96, and TM-30 Rg 100 ratings, it consistently delivers accurate color reproduction, ideal for capturing natural skin tones in home studios or live streaming.
Powerful Output with Reflector
The 60d S emits 2,940 lux at 3.3 feet (5600K), which jumps to 37,800 lux with the mini hyper reflector. A soft diffusion cover is included for use with the reflector to soften the light output as needed.
Creative Lighting Effects
The light also offers eight customizable effects, such as paparazzi, fireworks, lightning, faulty bulb, TV, pulse, strobe, and explosion, allowing you to create unique looks.
Compact and Adaptable Design
With a compact build similar to a camera, the 60d S still features a Bowens mount, making it compatible with a wide range of modifiers, including the Light Box 45x45, Light Dome SE, Light Dome Mini II, and Aputure Lantern.
