The Panasonic AW-UR100 UHD 4K Outdoor PTZ Camera is designed for security, live events, and broadcast applications where reliable outdoor performance is required. Equipped with a 1/2.5" UHD 4K MOS sensor, the camera delivers sharp video output up to UHD 4K60. Built for outdoor environments, it features an IP65-rated weather-resistant housing with a salt-resistant finish, along with integrated wiper, heater, and defroster systems for dependable operation in harsh conditions.
Powerful Zoom with Wide Viewing Angle
The AW-UR100 includes a wide-angle lens offering a horizontal field of view of 74.1° at its widest point and narrowing to 3.3° when fully zoomed. Its 24x optical zoom allows operators to capture subjects at long distances while maintaining image clarity. A 10x digital zoom further extends the camera’s reach when additional magnification is needed.
Advanced Image Stabilization
To maintain smooth and stable footage in challenging environments, the camera incorporates three stabilization technologies: Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS), and the Dynamic Image Stabilizing System (DISS). Together, these systems minimize vibration and maintain steady images, even when the camera is mounted on tall poles or exposed to wind speeds up to 15 m/sec. The combined stabilization ensures consistent image quality regardless of installation location.
Built for Harsh Outdoor Environments
The AW-UR100 is engineered to withstand demanding outdoor conditions. Its housing materials are resistant to salt, corrosion, UV exposure, and moisture. The camera’s IP65 rating ensures protection from dust and water, while the integrated wiper, heater, and defroster allow reliable operation in temperatures as low as 5°F.
Flexible Video Connectivity
For seamless integration into modern production workflows, the camera supports multiple video output interfaces, including 12G-SDI, 3G-SDI, and SFP+ fiber for baseband transmission. It also supports common IP streaming protocols such as NDI, SRT, and RTMP, allowing easy connection to existing broadcast and streaming systems.
Built-In Cropping and Digital Zoom
A built-in cropping feature allows operators to select specific areas of a UHD 4K image and output them independently. With three selectable cropping positions and up to 10x digital zoom, users can effectively create multiple framed shots from a single camera. These settings can be configured using a compatible remote controller or Panasonic’s PTZ control center software.
FreeD Support for AR and Virtual Production
The AW-UR100 supports FreeD command output, enabling integration with AR and VR production systems. By transmitting camera tracking data alongside synchronization signals, the camera allows virtual environments to be generated without requiring additional encoders.
Synchronization, Power, and Camera Control
The camera supports genlock with both black-burst and tri-level synchronization signals, helping maintain timing accuracy across multi-camera setups. A D-Sub 9-pin connector provides an audio input. Power can be supplied using PoE++ or an optional external power supply. Control options include IP and RS-422 connections, as well as compatibility with Panasonic controllers such as the AW-RP150, AW-RP60, AK-HRP series, and others. Configuration and control are also supported through macOS, Windows, iOS, and Android devices.
