The V-RAPTOR (X) 8K VV is the first large-format camera equipped with a global shutter. Built on the foundational features of the original V-RAPTOR, it includes dual 12G SDI outputs for unique monitoring views, a robust locking Canon RF lens mount, and CFexpress Type B media capable of handling up to 800MB/s for formats like 8K at 120 fps. Enhanced in-camera audio pre-amps and a redesigned sensor cavity further improve light management and contrast, solidifying the camera's standing in RED's lineup.

Enhanced Flexibility with RED Global Vision

With the introduction of RED Global Vision, the V-RAPTOR (X) 8K VV unlocks even greater creative potential. Its Extended Highlights feature provides superior HDR detail or smooth SDR highlight roll-off. The Global Vision suite also incorporates Phantom Track for virtual production workflows using GhostFrame or Frame Remapping, enabling the capture of distinct R3D clips per sub-frame slice. Additionally, live monitoring of each slice is supported over SDI.
