INTRODUCING NIKON Z MOUNT

Part of the new Z CINEMA Series, the V-RAPTOR [X] Z Mount now incorporates a native locking Nikon Z mount, bringing Nikon’s latest optical innovations into the professional cinema space. This collaboration between Nikon and RED offers advanced features like smooth iris control, customizable lens response, and adjustable autofocus speeds. With its shallow flange depth, the Nikon Z mount supports a broader range of lens systems via third-party adapters, enhancing flexibility.

SETTING A NEW STANDARD

The V-RAPTOR [X] is the first large-format global shutter camera on the market. It retains core elements of the original V-RAPTOR, including dual 12G SDI outputs for diverse monitoring setups, a locking Nikon Z mount for secure lens adaptation, and CFexpress Type B media that enables recording speeds of up to 800MB/s for formats like 8K 120P. Additionally, improved in-camera audio preamps and a redesigned sensor cavity enhance contrast performance by reducing stray light, further elevating the V-RAPTOR legacy.

The V-RAPTOR [X] 8K VV takes imaging to the next level with RED Global Vision, an advanced suite of tools designed to maximize the potential of its global shutter sensor. Extended Highlights capture greater highlight details, ensuring improved HDR finishes or smoother SDR roll-off. Phantom Track enhances Virtual Production workflows with GhostFrame™ and Frame Remapping capabilities, enabling the capture of distinct R3D clips per sub-frame slice while allowing for real-time monitoring of each slice over SDI outputs.

SEAMLESS CONNECTIVITY

Built on the DSMC3 platform, the V-RAPTOR [X] is equipped with next-generation IP connectivity for seamless remote control and monitoring. Features include in-camera Frame.io integration, AWS direct upload, and RED Connect, allowing live 8K R3D streaming over IP or live 4K via SMPTE ST 2110, ensuring an efficient and future-proof workflow.
