Sony BVM-HX1710N 16.5" 4K TRIMASTER HX Networked Professional Master Monitor
4K HDR Master Monitor
Designed for live events, color grading, and VFX workflows, the Sony BVM-HX1710N 16.5" 4K TRIMASTER HX Networked Professional Master Monitor delivers exceptional color fidelity via TRIMASTER HX technology. It features a peak luminance of 3000 cd/m², sharp detail, fast pixel response, and high color accuracy. The 3840 × 2160 panel supports 4K HDR, offers 89° viewing angles, and supports 3D LUTs and advanced color gamuts. Connectivity includes 12G/3G-SDI and HDMI inputs, SDI outputs, plus integrated IP support.
Simultaneous Processing and Display
Firmware v2.0 enables simultaneous processing and output of two 4K or HD signals for side-by-side comparison. It also supports displaying a 4K image while feeding a different 4K source with a 3D LUT applied via Enhanced Monitor Output (EMO)—ideal for color-critical workflows.
Integrated IP Support
The BVM-HX1710N integrates directly into IP productions with support for ST2110-20/21/22/30/40, NMOS IS-04/IS-05, Clean Switch, Hitless Failover, and PTP. A web menu simplifies setup, and licenses can be added for SNMP and JPEG XS decoding. Direct IP input removes the need for an IP-SDI converter for tighter integration with Sony’s Networked Live ecosystem.
Settings Copy through BVMK-R10
Copy and share monitor settings between the BVM-HX3110, BVM-HX1710, and BVM-HX1710N via USB memory or through the optional BVMK-R10 control unit.
4K/HD Scopes with HDR/SDR Scales
- Built-in waveform and vectorscope with HDR/SDR scales and automatic switching based on selected EOTF.
- Waveform modes: luma, RGB parade, YCbCr parade, and RGB overlay.
- Color-gamut scope maps to the CIE 1931 chart with standard color space display.
- With v2.0+, scopes can be expanded to 2× size in single-screen mode.
Anti-Fingerprint LCD Panel
The LCD panel is engineered for easy cleaning to remove fingerprints from transport or installation.
User 3D LUTs
Load customized user LUT files from USB or apply a different EOTF for comparison during pre-grading. 3D interpolation supports HDR-to-SDR conversion.
Quad View
Compare up to four sets of display parameters—EOTF, color space, transfer matrix, color temperature, contrast, brightness, and chroma—at once. View LUTs side-by-side with the original footage.
