33MP Exmor R BSI CMOS Sensor
The FX2 pairs its 33MP back-illuminated sensor with a BIONZ XR processor for vivid 4K recording in full-frame and Super 35 modes. It captures sharp video with 7K oversampling, 15+ stops of dynamic range, and dual-base ISOs of 800 and 4000 for S-Log3. ISO is expandable to 204800 for low-light performance.
DCI 4K Video Recording
Record DCI 4K internally with 10-bit 4:2:2 or output 16-bit raw via HDMI. The FX2 supports XAVC S, S-I, and HS formats using H.264 or H.265 codecs. Use up to 16 custom LUTs or S-Cinetone for color matching across Cinema Line cameras. Variable frame rates, in-camera de-squeeze, and anamorphic support offer added creative flexibility.
Hybrid Still Image Capture
The FX2 introduces true hybrid functionality with improved still image tools:
