The Canon XJ22X7.3B IE-D / LO DIGISUPER 22xs is a compact HD studio lens designed for portable cameras configured for studio production. Its lightweight box-style construction combines the operating advantages of a studio lens with the portability required for smaller camera systems.
High-Quality HD Optical Performance
Designed for professional HD production, the lens delivers high contrast and resolution throughout its 22x zoom range. Canon's focusing technology minimizes changes in the angle of view while focusing, helping reduce the focus-breathing effect.
Built-In 2x Extender
The standard 7.3-161mm focal length range can be extended to 14.6-322mm using the integrated 2x extender. This provides additional telephoto reach without requiring the operator to change lenses.
Encoder Servo System
An encoder-based servo system provides precise, repeatable zoom and focus control. Maximum operating speeds are approximately 0.5 seconds for zoom and 1.5 seconds for focus. The encoder system also enables integration with virtual studio applications.
Convenient Digital Operation
An integrated information display allows operators to view and configure the lens's digital functions. The lens can be used with Canon studio and field lens controllers, as well as compatible Canon ENG lens controllers when the appropriate conversion cable is used.
