The Blackmagic URSA Cine 12K LF 100G is designed to blend high-end cinematic imaging with modern live production workflows. Featuring a full-frame 36 x 24mm sensor, it delivers up to 16 stops of dynamic range and records Blackmagic RAW at resolutions up to 12K in a 3:2 open gate format. Built for connectivity, it includes a 100GbE port for SMPTE ST-2110 workflows, along with Wi-Fi and SRT streaming, internal ND filters, and high-speed networking for cloud-based media handling.
What’s Included in the Kit
This configuration comes ready for production with both ARRI PL and Canon EF mounts, an 8TB Media Module, top handle, rod mount, 19mm baseplate with shoulder pad, B-mount battery plate, and a wheeled hard case with custom foam. A DaVinci Resolve Studio license is also included for immediate post-production integration.
Large-Format 12K Sensor Capabilities
The large-format sensor allows for flexible framing and lens choices, supporting multiple aspect ratios and delivery formats. Full open-gate capture produces a 3:2 image, while anamorphic workflows are supported with a range of de-squeeze options. The camera can also record in 4K, 8K, or 12K using the entire sensor area, preserving lens field of view. Super 35 9K modes are available for compatibility with traditional cinema glass.
Durable, Production-Ready Body Design
Built for demanding environments, the camera features a balanced body constructed from magnesium alloy with a carbon fiber polycarbonate exterior. A fold-out 5-inch touchscreen provides quick access to controls and playback, while a secondary assist display gives crew members direct camera control. Connectivity includes LEMO, Fischer, 12G-SDI, Ethernet, USB-C, and XLR inputs, all supported by backlit controls for low-light operation.
Optional Broadcast Lens Integration
With an optional B4 mount, the camera can be adapted for broadcast-style lenses and higher frame rate capture. In its 4.6K B4 crop mode, it supports frame rates up to 240 fps, making it a strong option for sports and live event coverage.

The URSA Cine 12K LF 100G is built around a modular mount system, allowing users to switch between PL, EF, B4, and LPL mounts. The fold-out display features a 5-inch HDR touchscreen alongside a secondary status screen, while a dedicated assistant display allows for control without external monitors. With high brightness and a removable sunshade, visibility remains strong in outdoor conditions. On-screen overlays provide detailed shooting data, including histograms and frame guides.
Blackmagic RAW Workflow
Blackmagic RAW captures sensor data while preserving critical metadata such as lens information, white balance, and LUTs. The format supports both constant quality and constant bitrate options, giving users control over compression and file size. With the included 8TB module, extended recording times are possible even at high resolutions.
Professional Connectivity Options
Designed for high-end workflows, the camera includes a full set of professional connections. Front-mounted LEMO and Fischer ports support accessories and lens motors, while rear power inputs accommodate various voltage requirements. Optical Low-Pass Filter for Cleaner Images
An integrated optical low-pass filter reduces moire and aliasing, especially when shooting high-frequency textures or LED displays. The filter is tuned to the sensor and includes improved IR handling for better color accuracy and detail retention.
Integrated ND Filters
Built-in ND filters allow for fast exposure adjustments while maintaining color consistency. Available in 2-, 4-, and 6-stop options, these filters are designed to reduce both visible and infrared light evenly. Filter values can be displayed in multiple formats directly on the camera interface.
