Designed with an ARRI PL mount, this professional broadcast lens supports native Super 35 sensors and can expand to full-frame coverage using its integrated 1.5x extender. Its relatively compact and lightweight form factor makes it well-suited for diverse shooting scenarios, including tripod setups, vehicle rigs, and aerial applications.
40 to 1200mm Focal Length
This lens delivers an expansive 40–1200mm zoom range with a variable aperture from T5.0 to T10.8 across the zoom spectrum. Engaging the built-in 1.5x extender enhances the 30x optical zoom, extending the reach to an impressive 60–1800mm.
Consistent with Canon’s cinema lens lineup, it produces smooth, visually pleasing bokeh thanks to an 11-blade iris, along with a stepless iris ring for precise exposure adjustments.
Advanced Servo Drive Unit
The integrated servo drive unit includes Focus Breathing Compensation, helping maintain consistent framing while adjusting focus.
It supports ARIA and ALAC communication protocols through a 12-pin interface, and when paired with the EOS C400, it enables Auto-Exposure Ramping Compensation.
This PL-mount version is compatible with ZEISS eXtended Data and Cooke /i technology, allowing metadata transmission directly to the camera. The servo unit can be detached for traditional cine-style operation or incorporated into studio environments with 16-bit metadata output support.
