Canon MS-510 Ultrahigh-Sensitivity Interchangeable-Lens Camera
Ultrahigh-Sensitivity Surveillance Camera
View remote objects at distances of several miles using the Canon MS-510 Ultrahigh-Sensitivity Camera. The MS-510 is built around a 1" 3.2MP ultrahigh-sensitivity SPAD (Single-Photon Avalanche Diode) sensor that uses photon counting to accurately detect light with less noise than CMOS sensors. This color camera has a B4 mount for using ultra-telephoto 2/3" broadcast lenses to capture images day or night. It supports video resolutions up to 1080p60 and supports both NTSC and PAL broadcast frame rates using a single 3G-HD/SDI output.
SPAD Sensor
As light reaches the SPAD (Single-Photon Avalanche Diode) sensor, the sensor instantaneously multiplies the generated electrons by about one million times, creating an avalanche effect that is output as an electronic pulse.
Compared to CMOS sensors that have to convert analog signals to digital, the SPAD sensor detects light more accurately.
Low-Light Long-Range Capture
The MS-510 can capture high-resolution color images using a small sensor, thanks to approximately 3.2 million pixels measuring 6.39μm each. This compact camera excels at long-range capture, even in low-light conditions.
B4 Lens Mount with Magnifier
A B4 mount enables the MS-510 camera to make use of Canon's extensive lineup of high-performance broadcast lenses. It uses a built-in magnifying optical system to match 2/3" broadcast lenses to the 1" image sensor, enabling a lens to mount directly to the camera without cropping the sensor pixels.
CrispImg2 and Custom Presets
Select the CrispImg2 Custom Picture Preset to optimize image resolution and contrast while suppressing noise. This setting offers preset sharpness, gamma curve, and noise reduction.
Users can also create custom picture presets that best suit their shooting environment; these presets can be named and stored in the camera for recalling later.
Custom Picture Mode
Use the MS-510 camera's Custom Picture mode to create up to 20 image-quality settings tailored to your various shooting environments.
Camera and Lens Control
The MS-510 enables you to control and operate the camera, lens, and a pan/tilt head using a single cable and a compatible controller. The ability to control the camera remotely enables finer adjustments than direct operation when using telephoto lenses at a long distance.
Control the MS-510 via ONVIF (Profile-S) or the proprietary Canon WV-HTTP or WVCOM protocols.
Remote terminal protocols include RS-232C/RS-422/RS-485, NU, and PELCO-D. The Genlock input can be used for multicamera setups.
The MS-510 supports multiple network protocols, including RTSP, HTTP, mDNS, IPv4/v6, TCP/IP, UDP, and more.
Infrared Night Mode
To capture scenes in Night mode, the MS-510 camera's IR cut filter switches to an IR transmission filter, increasing the level of infrared light that reaches the sensor.
Night mode also uses the AWB feature to automatically correct typically red IR images to natural colors.
Haze and Shade Control
Three levels of Haze Compensation reduce haze and mist in your images by lowering the brightness range and correcting high contrast.
Prevent blown-out areas and enhance shadow details using the Smart Shade Control function.
