• Clear-Com RS-703 Encore 2-Channel Analog Partyline Intercom System TW Beltpack

The Clear-Com RS-703 is a two-channel analog beltpack with Program Audio for Encore Partyline Intercom Systems, as well as PL-Pro and TW partyline systems when used through Encore interfaces. Encore is a 2-wire analog partyline system designed for simple plug-and-play operation and strong audio clarity. The RS-703 can also carry both power and audio through its XLR-3 pin line connector. Each beltpack combines high headroom, low-noise performance, and shaped frequency contour, known as the “Clear-Com Sound,” to deliver clean, intelligible audio.

Operation

The RS-703 features LEDs on the top of the beltpack to provide visual indication of incoming and outgoing call signaling. A mic preamp helps maintain clear voice communication across a wide range of volume levels. Recessed rotary volume control, along with Talk and Call keys, helps prevent accidental activation. The RS-703 also operates with low current draw, allowing more beltpacks to be connected in a daisy-chain configuration. In addition, it includes thumbwheel level adjustment for Program In and a 3.5mm TRS jack for Program Input.

DIP Switches and LEDs

A concealed DIP switch panel on the back of the beltpack allows users to quickly configure audio and key options. These DIP switches can be used to switch between electret and dynamic headsets, set a minimum or off level for headphone output, adjust volume behavior, enable or disable LED signals, activate Call on Talk, latch the Talk key for Channel A or Channel B, set Channel B minimum volume, and select RTS/Clear-Com operation on the RS-703.

A green LED indicates that the beltpack is powered, while a green LED on the Talk key shows that the microphone is active when Talk is latched. An amber LED indicates a Call signal on the channel.

Improved Design

The RS-703 features a rugged, dependable housing with a retro-style design connection to the earlier RS-500 Series beltpacks. Its included belt clip supports a variety of mounting options, allowing users to attach it to a belt or lanyard, or mount it to a wall, pole, or desk for fixed installations.

Compatibility

The RS-703 is compatible with all Encore partyline products, as well as the PL-Pro line and other TW partyline systems when connected through Encore interfaces.
