The Mackie ProFX16v3 is a 16-channel mixer designed for live sound, home recording, and content creation. It features 11 Onyx microphone preamps with up to 60 dB of headroom, delivering clean, low-noise audio. A built-in effects engine provides 24 onboard FX, while the integrated 2x4 USB audio interface supports high-resolution 24-bit / 192 kHz recording and playback with zero-latency monitoring.
Channel Configuration and Connectivity
Channels 1–2 offer combo XLR and 1/4" mic/line inputs along with Hi-Z switches for direct connection of guitars and basses. Channels 3–11 include XLR or 1/4" inputs, while channels 1–8 feature insert points and single-knob compressors for added control.
Channels 9/10, 11/12, and 13/14 each provide stereo 1/4" line inputs, and channel 15/16 includes a 3.5mm stereo input. Engaging the USB 3-4 switch on channel 15/16 overrides the analog input and allows USB return from a connected computer.
All channels include gain control, 3-band EQ, three aux sends for monitoring, a dedicated FX send, pan control, mute, and level faders for comprehensive mixing flexibility.
Master Section and Outputs
Each channel strip includes routing options for Main L/R, Sub 1-2, Sub 3-4, and PFL Solo. The master section features dedicated faders for Main, Sub 1-2, Sub 3-4, and FX.
Main outputs are available via both XLR and 1/4" connections, while subgroups and control room outputs use 1/4" connectors. A dedicated 1/4" TRS headphone output includes independent level control.
Additional controls include an input/USB 1-2 blend knob, dedicated FX output, FX level fader, and FX mute, which can also be controlled via a 1/4" footswitch input.
Professional Sound Quality
The mixer is equipped with 11 Onyx mic preamps that provide up to 60 dB of gain with ultra-low noise performance. The GigFX effects engine includes 24 high-quality effects such as reverbs, delays, and more.
Essential Mixing Tools
A 3-band EQ is available on all channels for tone shaping. Channels 9–14 support both mic inputs and stereo 1/4" line inputs, offering flexibility for various audio sources.
Hi-Z switches allow direct connection of instruments, while a 100 Hz low-cut filter and 48V phantom power are available on all mic channels. Channel 15/16 includes a stereo 3.5mm input for additional sources.
Aux and monitor outputs feature dedicated per-channel send controls, and stereo subgroup buses allow flexible routing. Additional features include a headphone output with independent level and blend control, insert jacks on channels 1–8, pre-fader solo on all channels, a footswitch input for FX mute, and single-knob compression for consistent input levels.
24-Bit / 192 kHz USB Recording Interface
