The FR-4 Fluid Remote™ is a revolutionary pan bar system that is ideal for many applications including remote productions. It is the next generation of our popular FR-1 and FR-2 models.
It allows the camera operator to follow live action much easier than with a joystick and it was designed specifically for ultra-low latency control over IP, critical for live events. There is no “joy” with using joysticks.
The FR-4 uses a compact PC running Microsoft Windows 11 and includes three Elgato Stream Deck modules. Bitfocus Companion is pre-installed allowing users to customize the system to optimize their workflow.
The FR-4 Fluid Remote™ is compatible with the top PTZ cameras from Sony, Canon, and Panasonic. See models in the specification below.
It can also be used for motion capture of pan/tilt/zoom/focus for accurate playback.
The unique MotionAmp™ feature for both pan and tilt allows the operator to amplify or attenuate the angular relationship between the FR-2 and PTZ camera. For example, if the pan is set to 2X, rotating the FR-4 90 degrees causes the PTZ camera to rotate 180 degrees
.
The response is smooth and precise, and the FR-4 can be mounted on any fluid head because it does not rely on encoders for motion capture therefore making it a truly open system.
