Designed for full-frame and large-format cinema cameras, the Aizu Prime series maintains an ultrafast T1.3 aperture while delivering an organic, moderately sharp image with exceptionally shallow depth of field and minimal distortion.

Advanced Lens Metadata

The ARRI PL-mount Aizu Prime uses ZEISS eXtended technology to provide real-time lens metadata during production. Distortion and shading correction data can also be exported to support post-production and visual effects workflows. When paired with a compatible lens mount, the PL-mount version can also output Cooke/i data.

Full-Frame and Large-Format Coverage

With a 46.3mm image circle, the Aizu Prime 21mm provides coverage for full-frame and Super 35 sensors while also supporting large-format camera systems, including ARRI ALEXA LF Open Gate and VistaVision.

Integrated 0.8 MOD gears provide compatibility with professional lens control systems, while the support foot includes both 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 mounting threads.

The durable lens housing also features a wide 270° barrel rotation, providing the range needed for smooth and precise focus pulls.

95mm Front Diameter

A 95mm front outside diameter provides compatibility with many professional matte boxes and lens shades, helping the lens integrate easily into established cinema camera configurations.

Luminescent Focus Marks in Feet

Focus distances are marked in feet for quick reference during production. Like the other markings found throughout the Aizu Prime series, the focus marks use luminescent paint to improve visibility when working in low-light environments.
