Fujifilm Expands 4K Broadcast Lens Lineup
UA16x4BERD, UA30x7.3BERD & UA94x8.7BESM Announced at NAB 2026
A Forward-Looking Expansion for Broadcast Production
Fujifilm has officially revealed the development of three new FUJINON 4K broadcast zoom lenses, further strengthening its position in high-end live production optics. Introduced at NAB Show 2026 in Las Vegas, these lenses are designed to support a wide range of production environments including sports, concerts, studio work, and live events.
While none of these models are currently available, they represent a significant step forward in combining wide-angle flexibility, powerful zoom ranges, and operator-friendly designs into single-lens solutions.
UA16x4BERD & UA30x7.3BERD – Compact Power with Wide Coverage

The UA16x4 and UA30x7.3 lenses are designed for operators who need maximum versatility in a compact, portable form factor. These lenses push beyond previous limitations by delivering both extended wide-angle coverage and high zoom ratios without increasing size or weight.
The UA30x7.3 offers a best-in-class 30x zoom range, covering 7.3mm to 219mm, making it ideal for capturing everything from wide establishing shots to tight subject isolation. Meanwhile, the UA16x4 delivers an ultra-wide 4mm focal length paired with a strong 16x zoom range, enabling dramatic wide perspectives without sacrificing reach.
These lenses are built for fast-paced production environments. Whether capturing full stadium shots or zooming into post-game interviews, they provide camera operators with the flexibility needed to adapt instantly. Their lightweight construction also improves mobility, making them well-suited for handheld or rapidly changing setups.
UA94x8.7BESM – Extreme Telephoto Versatility

The UA94x8.7 is designed as a high-performance box lens for 2/3-inch broadcast cameras, delivering an extraordinary focal range from 8.7mm to 818mm. This makes it an ideal solution for large-scale productions where capturing both immersive wide shots and distant subjects is critical.
Positioned between Fujifilm’s UA70x and UA107x lenses, this model strikes a balance between performance and accessibility. It incorporates advanced image stabilization to reduce operator fatigue and maintain smooth control during high-magnification zooming and precise focusing.
From live sports to concerts and major events, the UA94x8.7 enables a seamless transition between sweeping environmental shots and tightly framed action, supporting creative storytelling without compromise.
Shown at NAB 2026 – More to Come
All three lenses were showcased at NAB Show 2026 in Las Vegas, offering a preview of Fujifilm’s next generation of broadcast optics. While detailed specifications and real-world testing insights are still emerging, the announcement signals a clear focus on hybrid production demands and evolving broadcast workflows.
In terms of availability, the UA94x8.7 is expected to launch in Fall 2026, while the UA16x4 and UA30x7.3 are planned for Spring 2027.
Stay tuned for more updates as Fujifilm releases additional details, pricing, and hands-on insights in the coming months.
