Waterbird Systems Showcased Two New Motion Control Solutions at NAB 2026

Waterbird introduced the MS XL Straight Track Segments and the MS SWIFT SE, expanding its lineup with faster setup, flexible configurations, and professional broadcast integration.

At NAB 2026, Waterbird Systems made a strong showing with two new product announcements designed for broadcast, live events, studio production, and professional camera movement workflows.

The company introduced the MS XL Straight Track Segments, a new addition to the MS XL family, along with the MS SWIFT SE, a compact standalone rail system with full IP connectivity. Both products were built around the same core priorities: fast deployment, flexible setup, and reliable professional integration.

Two New Tools for Smarter Camera Movement

From repeatable straight-line motion to compact IP-connected rail control, Waterbird’s NAB 2026 announcements focused on giving production teams more control, more flexibility, and fewer setup limitations.

MS XL Straight Track Segments

The new MS XL Straight Track Segments bring straight-line precision to the existing MS XL ecosystem. These 0.5 m rigid segments integrate directly with Waterbird’s MS XL bendable rail, allowing teams to move from curved to straight track sections and back again within the same setup.

No adapters are needed, and there is no compromise on stability. For productions that rely on repeatable linear motion, this is a smart expansion of the MS XL platform.

MS SWIFT SE

The MS SWIFT SE is a compact standalone rail system designed for productions that need portability without giving up professional connectivity. Built on Waterbird’s proven small-rail platform, the MS SWIFT SE adds 2x POE+ ports for direct PTZ or transmitter power, plus full Ethernet for broadcast-grade integration.

The system works out of the box with Stream Deck, Skaarhoj, Ross Dashboard, and major PTZ systems. With one cable, operators can achieve full control, while a pre-installed B-Mount battery plate supports fully wireless configurations when the job calls for maximum mobility.

Built for Broadcast, Live Events, and Studio Production

Waterbird’s two NAB 2026 announcements serve different production needs, but they share the same design philosophy. Both products are focused on quick setup, flexible configuration, and dependable integration into professional environments.

The MS XL Straight Track Segments are ideal for studios, fixed broadcast positions, and hybrid live configurations where precise linear motion is part of the shot. The MS SWIFT SE brings IP connectivity, PTZ compatibility, and portable rail control into a compact system ready for modern production workflows.
