AJA BRIDGE LIVE IP

BRIDGE LIVE IP

AJA’s new BRIDGE LIVE IP is a high-density IP video gateway purpose-built for 10/25 GigE SMPTE ST 2110 workflows. It addresses a critical gap in hybrid IP environments by enabling a smoother bridge between compressed IP streaming media and uncompressed SMPTE ST 2110 infrastructures.

Ideal for multi-channel video contribution, remote production, remote collaboration, streaming, and OTT delivery, BRIDGE LIVE IP combines encoding, decoding, transcoding, and frame-rate conversion into a compact 1RU platform. It supports up to four channels of UltraHDp60 or eight channels of 1080p60 HD.

Broad support includes H.262, H.264, H.265, MPEG-TS, HLS, RTMP, RTMPS, and SRT, with optional licenses available for NDI, JPEG XS, and JPEG 2000. Built through a collaboration between AJA and Comprimato, the BRIDGE LIVE family is designed for reliable, low-latency operation in demanding live production environments.

Key BRIDGE LIVE Features
  • BRIDGE LIVE 12G-4 supports up to 4x bidirectional 12G-SDI I/O for UHD workflows.
  • BRIDGE LIVE 3G-8 supports up to 8x multi-channel HD workflows and mixed frame-rate families.
  • Bidirectional encode, decode, and transcode capabilities across multiple IP video standards.
  • Support for SRT, UDP, HLS, RTP, RTMP/S, MPTS, MPEG-TS, NDI, AVC-TS, and Fragmented MP4.
  • Hitless redundancy via ST 2022-7 and SRT bonding.
  • REST API and SNMP support for monitoring, control, and automation.
  • Dual 10 GigE interfaces and dual power supplies for critical application redundancy.

For facilities and live production teams building more flexible IP pipelines, BRIDGE LIVE IP is one of the strongest additions in AJA’s latest lineup.

AJA IP25-R v2.0 firmware update

New Firmware Update for IP25-R v2.0

The latest free v2.0 firmware update for the IP25-R SMPTE ST 2110 converter adds a new Tx mode for 12G-SDI to ST 2110 conversion, building on the device’s existing ST 2110 to 12G-SDI receive mode.

It also expands Rx mode channel counts from four to six streams for more efficient and cost-effective conversions. Up to three IP25-R units can fit in a single 1RU, supporting up to 18 channels of ST 2110 to 12G-SDI/HDMI conversion or 12 channels of 12G-SDI to ST 2110/HDMI conversion.

This update makes the IP25-R even more compelling for dense IP conversion deployments. Available soon.
