The Bright Tangerine Sony FX5 EVF Mounting Kit adds a fully articulating viewfinder setup to your camera rig, providing greater flexibility and comfort when framing shots. The kit allows you to reposition the EVF while freeing up space for additional accessories, including the FX5 XLR Handle.

Tilt the viewfinder a full 360 degrees on a support rod, adjust its height along a NATO rail, and move the entire assembly closer to or farther from the camera body using a second rod. This flexible configuration makes it easier to achieve comfortable viewing angles for different shooting situations.

Moving the EVF away from the camera body frees up the multifunction shoe for additional accessories. This allows you to mount a microphone or use the FX5 XLR Handle alongside the EVF, combining flexible monitoring with 32-bit audio capabilities.

The EVF Bracket supports multiple mounting configurations, allowing you to customize your camera rig. Add height or pan-and-tilt functionality using compatible Bright Tangerine Monitor Mounts. Additional options include side mounting with the Monitor Hinge or extended positioning using the Titan Arm 2 Ti.
Instructions / Assembly
The Sony FX5 EVF Mounting Kit requires the Sony FX5 camera body and EVF. For optimal mounting, the Bright Tangerine Sony FX5 cage is recommended.
Required Tools:
- 2.5mm Hex Key
- 3mm Hex Key
- Flathead Screwdriver
Sideways Rod Mount to Camera Cage
- Align the M4 screws with two M4 x 10mm mounting points on the FX5 cage.
- Secure the mount using a 3mm Hex Key.
Rod(s) to Sideways Rod Mount
- Loosen the winged lever clamp on the Rod Mount.
- Insert the rod and retighten the clamp.
NATO Rail to Rod
- Rotate the winged lever clamp to loosen the bracket.
- Slide the NATO rail rod mount onto the 15mm rod and tighten the bracket.
EVF Bracket to EVF
- Align the two screws with the threads marked "EVF" on the bracket.
- Secure the EVF to the bracket using a flathead screwdriver.
EVF Cable to EVF and Bracket
- Insert the cable into the base of the FX5 EVF, aligning the screws with the two threaded points at the center of the bracket.
- Secure the cable using a 2.5mm Hex Key.
NATO Rod Mount to NATO Rail
- Loosen the clamp and slide the Rod Mount onto the NATO Rail.
- Tighten the clamp to secure the mount.
Rod(s) to Rod Mount
- Loosen the winged lever clamp on the Rod Mount.
- Insert the rod and retighten the clamp.
EVF Bracket to Rod
- Slide the EVF Bracket onto the rod.
- Use a 3mm Hex Key to secure the bracket, leaving enough room for rotation.
