The Bright Tangerine Sony XLR Handle Bracket allows you to reposition your Sony FX3 or FX5 audio handle for greater flexibility when building your camera rig. With a modified Godox cable, you can maintain full 32-bit audio capabilities while customizing your setup to fit your production needs.
Designed for versatile rigging, the XLR Handle Bracket lets you mount your audio handle in a variety of positions, including alongside the Sony FX5 EVF. Its adaptable design provides more freedom to configure your camera without sacrificing audio functionality.
Cable Consistency
Maintain full 32-bit audio quality using the Godox GAC-IC13 cable. To accommodate the XLR Handle Bracket, the cable's original cold shoe mount must be removed. The bracket includes a dedicated replacement cable cover, allowing you to modify the connection for a clean and functional installation.
Easy Rigging
The XLR Handle Bracket features multiple M4 x 10mm mounting threads, providing additional options for attaching rod brackets and accessories. These mounting points are ideal for positioning third-party monitors or lens motors above the camera while keeping the handle accessible and unobstructed.
Double Up
Use your Sony FX5 EVF and XLR Handle together with the compatible Bright Tangerine FX5 EVF Bracket. Simply connect the appropriate cables to the camera's multifunction shoe and EVF port to create a versatile dual-purpose setup. Position the EVF along a NATO rail for greater flexibility or mount it alongside the XLR Handle for a more compact configuration.
Instructions / Assembly
The Sony XLR Handle Bracket includes the bracket, a replacement cable cover, and a flathead screwdriver. Installation requires a Godox GAC-IC13 cable and a 4mm Hex Key, which are not included.
Replacing the Cable Cover
- Use the included flathead screwdriver to remove the camera-end cold shoe mount from the Godox cable.
- Position the Bright Tangerine replacement cable cover in the opening and secure it using the original screws and flathead screwdriver.
Handle to Bracket
- Align the XLR Handle screws with the corresponding threads on the bracket. The handle can be mounted facing forward or backward.
- Align the bracket's 1/4" and 3/8" mounting screws with the corresponding threaded points on your camera cage or mounting plate.
- Secure the bracket using the appropriate tools to complete the installation.
Compatibility
The Sony XLR Handle Bracket is compatible with the Sony XLR-H1 and XLR-H2 audio handles, designed for the Sony FX3 and FX5 cameras, respectively. It attaches to compatible camera cages and top plates using captive 1/4" and 3/8" mounting screws.
Repositioning the XLR Handle requires a Godox GAC-IC13 cable. The included replacement cable cover must be manually installed after removing the cable's original cold shoe mount.
