Designed for live sound and temporary event applications, the Yamaha RUio1608SB-D provides a portable, digital snake-style solution that is easy to deploy. Featuring 16 inputs and 8 outputs, it combines flexible placement, improved sound quality, and reliable performance for expanding system I/O in professional audio environments.
The RUio1608SB-D can be placed directly on the floor or installed in a rack using an optional mounting kit. Its head amp performance is comparable to the Yamaha DM3, providing a practical and versatile I/O solution for a range of system designs and deployment scenarios.
Compact and Robust Stagebox Design
With its simple, unobtrusive design, sturdy protectors, and grip-friendly handles, the lightweight and portable RUio1608SB-D can be easily set up on stage without getting in the way. A panel lock function helps prevent controllers from being operated by mistake.
Flexible Placement for Live Environments
Damage-resistant rubber protectors help prevent the stage floor from being scratched. Up to two RUio1608SB-D units can also be stacked to make better use of available space.
Onboard Display and Parameter Control
The built-in mini-LCD screen allows you to directly monitor the meters for each channel while configuring and checking I/O parameters for Dante, HA gain, phantom power, and more without connecting to a mixing console or PC.
In the event of an error, the front-panel keys and LEDs light up, allowing you to take action with minimal delay.
Yamaha Sound Quality
The RUio1608SB-D delivers renowned Yamaha sound with a 96kHz sample rate. It inherits Yamaha's tradition of transparent sound found in the RPio622/222 and Rio3224-D3/1608-D3, and is designed to capture stage sound and deliver it to the mixing console.
Dante-Enabled System Design
The RUio1608SB-D supports Audinate's Dante network protocol for flexible system setup and configuration. Dante provides the flexibility to combine devices and position them where needed while also providing built-in redundancy to help keep the system operating in the event of a problem.
Control from Yamaha Consoles and Processors
When connected via Dante to Yamaha digital mixing consoles and other digital signal processors, the RUio1608SB-D provides straightforward patching and I/O parameter management.
When connected to a mixing console, the stagebox can be mounted as a Dante device, allowing remote control of HA gain and other parameters. When connected to a processor, parameters can be controlled using the ProVisionaire suite.
